Itinerary
Arrival
Your experience starts the moment you land in Geneva. You will be met by your private chauffeur and transferred to the luxurious Royal Evian Hotel on Lake Gevena’s shores. Here, you will have the opportunity to settle in and relax by enjoying the world-renowned Evian Spa, recently crowned Best Wellness Retreat of 2024. In the evening, your car of choice, programmed GPS, and roadbook will be delivered to you by a representative.
Col des Gets and Lac de Roselend
Now it’s time to begin your epic driving journey crossing off the Haute Savoie. Kick-off with a warm-up cruise to reach the first mountain pass, Col des Gets, before a lunch stop encircled by panoramic views and little else. Afterward, you’ll gain more elevation and even far-reaching views as you conquer the Lake of Roselend and its famed pass, known for its fast downhill portions, banked turns, and steep hills. You’ve reached your luxury stay for the night at Maison Bouvier where you will trade your car keys for history and gastronomy. Taste fine local wines guided by a master sommelier and eat at a Michelin-stared restaurant nestled in the heart of a 380-tree forest.
Col de l'Iseran and Col du Galibier
Your second day of driving takes you on a beautiful expedition across the Savoie region, passing three scenic mountain passes renowned as key stages of the Tour de France, with Mont Blanc standing majestically in the background. After lunch, cycle through the gears as you climb the Col de l’Iseran and the Col de Galibier, respectively towering at 2764 meters and 2642 meters offering diverse and breathtaking sceneries of the Alps. With jaw-dropping panoramas emerging at each corner, these remarkable roads with smooth tarmac instill confidence behind the wheel. Conclude the day by arriving at the charming village of Serre Chevalier, where you will relax and recharge in a luxurious setting for the night.
Col de l'Izoard and Col de la Bonette
Your next day promises to be action-packed as you embark on a series of picturesque passes, perfectly curated to bring out the best of your sports car. Following the Col de l’Izoard, cross a mesmerizing area of geological wonder where ochre-colored rock formations create a landscape that feels like you’ve stepped straight into a Star Wars setting. Along the way, you’ll stop for a well-deserved lunch at the summit. Just imagine eating and soaking in the stunning views of the surrounding Alps. Get ready to delve into excitement as you take on the legendary Col de la Bonnette, considered to be the highest road in Europe. This road has a steep climb and a mixture of straights and hairpin turns generally light on traffic which makes it ideal for an incredible drive with plenty of freedom. Bring the tempo down as you arrive at the highest ski area in the region, Isola 2000 recuperating in a luxury chalet.
Col de Turini
Last but not least, your final day kicks off with a scenic drive south through the Mercantour National Park, leading you to the legendary Col de Turini. Known for its exhilarating curves and as a celebrated stage of the Monte Carlo Rally, this mountain pass will put your driving skills to the test with its 34-hairpin bend. On your way down, catch the magnificent backdrop of the Mediterranean Sea until reaching its glittering coastline in Menton. A last coastal cruise will deliver you to an ultra-luxe hotel in the city of Monaco to mark the culmination of your Route des Grandes Alpes journey. Enjoy Michelin-two-starred cuisine overlooking the bay from a panoramic terrace to close the night in lightness and celebration.
